    aarg those hydra's

So 4 days later and I still have what I think is hydra. The safe guard that I got has fenbendazole not flubendazole. Where can we get that?

    Dying fry

Thanks for the info. You're probably right. It is a loss but I hope to have better luck next time. They were all doing well just three days ago. If I get another brood do you think it'll help if I get a very large biowheel type filter? I have two grow out tanks. Both at 10gal. When they get...

    aarg those hydra's

Your post got me thinking. I have this in my main tank. They are very tiny and accumulate on the glass. I found this link. http://www.planetinverts.com/killing_planaria_and_hydra.html And am trying the remedy right now.

    Bga

So Who has battled BGA and what did you do to get rid of it?

    Dying fry

Yeah. I think it's some type of disease. They've been in this tank since they became freeswimmers. And other then cycling, they are also the only things that have been in this tank. To cycle I used syphoned water and filter rings from my main tank. I think it's safe to rule out any communicable...

    Dying fry

So I have a brood of about 40 fry and the last two days I've come home to dead fish. They lay on the bottom and seem to die slowly. I checked all the water parameters and they are as follows. Ph-7.2. Amm-0 trite-0 trate-0. I've been doing partial water changes of ro water and still can't figure...

    Substrate change

Please refer to the pictures in my above post with before and after shots. All of these plants were flourishing, I had to even propagate and throw put a bunch leading up to the substrate change. In the after pictures just imagine the BGA being everywhere there wasn't a shadow.

    Substrate change

I have snails but not many as I also have an assassin in there too. MTS? I have two sword plants that had riz. But when I did the inititial change it had fallen off almost as if the plant was shedding it. All the other plants are made up of grasses, micro tears, apart sword, spiral sword...

    Substrate change

update It's been a month or two since the change. The sand substrate settled and became anarobic and nothing was growing. I had an outbreak of green slim which I tried to resolve twice with a week of no light each time. Didn't work. The green slime just grew back eventually. I decided to...
