I keep, breed and rear fish in three tanks in my house. I mostly just enjoy the fish though I occasionally sell some offspring from my livebearers or cichlids--or plant clippings. I'm a small time hobbyist who loves to putter with small cichlids in planted tanks with tankmates from at least roughly the same eco-region, even if not the same water. I prefer wild phenotypes over domestic lines, so my Xiphophorus, Cryptoheros and Apistogramma all come with collection information... which I think is about the coolest thing! I have a bachelor's degree in ecology, so I really enjoy getting to see natural behaviors from my fish.
