Thanks guys. I have to admit I've never seen a cauc. in their wild coloration, only the reds and oranges you see most often in the hobby. After looking at some other photos, I see that you are absolutely right.
He's a gorgeous fish, one of my favorites, and I'm happy to know his true species...
