Finally getting around to breeding my checkerboards and want a bit more information than the pH. I am using an RO/DI unit, mixing the water with peat and using that for the setup (they like the water and the eggs are hatching).
The TDS should be useful if nothing more than monitoring my RO...
I already have a pH meter, while looking for a EC/TDS meter I found COM-100 made by HM.
Does anyone have any experience with this meter/company?

Having a closer look at the back of the tank for the 2nd females eggs I noticed a group of fry swimming around their mom :biggrin:

I bought these fish a year ago and they lived in a community tank with a pH of 7.6. I had intended on breeding them but got into SaltWater a bit, summer came, and my interest level had dropped (but it's back!). I had bought an RO/DI unit for the SW thinking that it would be a great source of...

I am getting an RO/DI unit for my salt tank and might setup a 15g for breeding the Dicrossus, after a bunch of research :eek:
I picked seven of these up a week ago, I am confident they are Dicrossus but I am unsure of what type. The ones pictured below are about 3.5 cm, the top one is one I bought and the bottom is one still at the LFS. Any idea what type they are?
