if not breeding you can use bristlenose pleco's around the apisto's, I keep ottos and bristle nose in my tanks, remeber the female is the algae eater not the male
Hmm just read an article on someone breeding them and some tetras did not make good tank mates for them, the tetra will beat on the Apisto. Well good luck I breed mine in a 55 gallon but it was all apisto's and otto's
I don't think so , I know my Agassizi's did not like my cocktoos. I learn a lesson never mix them together, lost some good males to a lone male agasizi

Ok I have this female that slides accross the bottom when swimming . when swimming up she gets there but drops back down to the bottom of the tank. She is not bloated, eats fine. the water is fine. She looks fine
